It's a performance on a 1962 TV show by the Dave Brubeck Quartet performing the classic Blue Rondo A La Turk, and those zany TV producers decided that a fitting backdrop for this masterpiece of time signature trickery would be a magic carpet flying over an LA freeway. Genius. My favourite bit is about 25 seconds in when saxophonist Paul Desmond starts talking to someone off camera, presumably a sound guy on a support magic carpet.

If you don't know the track or Dave Brubeck, I strongly urge you to listen to a bit - it's such accessible jazz that still sounds as modern as the day it was recorded, and the Time Out LP, that this is taken from, is a bona fide masterpiece, and one of my all time favourite albums, across any genre.
