If you read this blog regularly you'll know that I'm a massive admirer of Beck - he's one of my generations most influential and remarkable artists. If you agree with me at all it won't surprise you to know that the new video that he's in, a single from Charlotte Gainsbourg, is phenomenally good. I can only assume that the creative meetings for this promo were held along the lines of everyone taking it in turns to share their craziest dreams with the rest of the group. It works though. And the song's good.
And if you want even more new Beck, check out his website for a new 10 minute+ track called Harry Partch, a tribute to the composer (not to be confused with Radiohead's recent track called Harry Patch, a tribute to the Great War veteran). Be warned - a pop single, it ain't.
