So I've been a fan of this song for a long time - 'timeless' gets bandied about a little too often, but I'd say this qualifies for that.
Couple of versions below - the original Macca one, and then a live studio cover by Faces, who I saw on a BBC4 re-run of this concert recently, and they do a pretty good version too so I thought that was worth bunging your way too. And in case you're wondering, Rod Stewart hands vocal duties over to bassist Ronnie Lane for the first couple of lines, and as good as Lane's voice is, when Rod kicks in it's pretty impressive (and something that's worth remembering if you only know of Rod for his later, slightly less credible work!).
